I’m working on my thesis about Del Close and so I decided to rewatch this 1986 profile on Del.
Every time I watch this I get something new out of it.
Fascinating. I love the idea of being the best version of me. In 101, that’s an idea that certainly had a lot of pull to me, and it’s what began my improv addiction.
And I love his comments that he encourages players to be a version of themselves (and not play characters), because characters are ultimately just a subset of their real personality.
